When life gives you lemons, wear them. Trust me. This is the under-the-radar trend that will transport you to the Amalfi Coast, freshen up your outfits, and help you squeeze the last out of summer. So if you want to add some zest into your wardrobe with this summer fashion trend (hope you appreciate the puns…. ha), read on.

Swimsuits
It wouldn’t be a summer trend without swimsuits! This is one of the best ways to incorporate lemons into your wardrobe, and it looks great whether you’re by a pool or in your backyard. Pair your citrus swimsuit with a straw hat and a classic straw bag to keep it chic without looking over-the-top. And if you’re interested in more swimsuit trends, check out this guide.
Clothing
If you’re feeling bold and want to commit to a full outfit, I love the lemon dresses that Reformation has right now in all of their classic styles. This off the shoulder style is my absolute favorite, but if it’s too pricey this is a decent replica. If you’re shopping in Europe, BA&SH has this adorable dress which also incorporates the summer puff-sleeve trend. H&M also has a ton of items in nicer linen blend fabrics that I wrote about recently.
If you’re going with a bold dress pair it with a classic straw tote, and if you’re going with a blouse pair it with jeans and a cross body bag. I actually like how this one mimics a lemon wedge.
Accessories
One of the easiest ways to incorporate the lemons summer fashion trend is with an accessory – especially if you aren’t sure if you want to commit to a full outfit. I love wearing Soludos when I travel, and these chic espadrilles are on my list to purchase next. They work equally well with jeans or a cute summer dress.
If statement jewelry is more your thing, try these handpainted earrings on Etsy, or these beaded earrings from Betsey Johnson.
I also love this lemon hair scarf and this one (both inspored by Rifle Paper but only available in the US), but this scrunchie + scarf set is equally cute and delivers globally.
And last but not least, the most important accessory of the moment – this face mask is really chic, made in France, and ships globally. It has ties instead of elastic loops, which I find much more comfortable -and it’s only €13 / $15.
I’d love to know how you incorporate the lemons summer fashion trend into your wardrobe – and if you loved this trend, be sure to share this post on social media!
