I’m not sure how you feel, but June has really flown by for me. I honestly can’t believe 2021 is half over.
After coming back from our visit to the US, I dove right back into my routine. It’s been a flurry of getting back into shape (after a month of eating & drinking at our favorite restaurants), terrace dates with friends, and LOTS of catching up on work. I have to admit that although we loved seeing our friends & family, it really feels good to be back in Amsterdam.
I don’t have a ton of updates this month – my full-time job has been insane the past couple of weeks – but I do have a couple of life updates & recommendations to share.

What I’m doing: lots of travel planning
With the little free time I do have, I’ve been planning summer travel. It feels like we missed out on a month of exploring Europe, so I’m cramming a lot into July. I’m heading to Ibiza this weekend, Croatia next weekend, and then Champagne the following. And I’m also planning our next trip to Mykonos in August! If you’re looking for some travel inspo (within Europe Or the US) check my travel guides here.
What I’m wearing: this brand
Last year I bought one of my favorite white bikini tops from here, and recently I found some cute pieces for this summer. It’s an old school brand that’s really been stepping up their game. A lot of their tops and dresses have a Reformation vibe (at a third of the price). And shout out to my friend Kelsey for sending me their swim cover ups! Check out my favorites below.
What I’m using: this LED mask
I’ve been talking about this LED mask since January, and I’m still obsessed. After getting back from the states my skin was a hot mess from all the travel and heavy food/drinking. this mask (US link // EU link) plus dermaplaning has really gotten my skin healthy again. Check my saved Instagram stories under Beauty for answers to your questions about LED masks.
What I’m reading: this best seller
I try to read every night before bed, but lately I haven’t had the brain power for anything heavy. My friend in the US recommended this New York Times bestseller to me. It’s nothing revolutionary, but it’s a page turner with short chapters, so it’s great for a vacation.
What I’m looking forward to: having visitors!
In addition to summer travel, we have something exciting happening at the end of July. We will have our first visitors in Amsterdam!! One of the hardest things about being an expat (especially during COVID) has been the inability to share our new life and experiences with the people close to us. My sister-in-law & brother-in-law and my three nieces are coming from the US in July, and we can’t wait to show them around the city!
