French fashion can seem expensive and unapproachable, but I’ve recently discovered a lot of accessible brands that are triple threats: wearable, sustainable, and affordable.
Since moving to Europe, I haven’t been able to order from many of my favorite American labels. But the silver lining is that there are a ton of awesome European brands I’ve discovered – and being in the French riviera last year inspired me to share my favorites.
Here are the five best sustainable French fashion brands that I’m currently obsessed with – and they all ship internationally!

Stella et Suzie
This brand has some pretty ruffles and feminine details, but with more of a vintage aesthetic. Since they’re eco-responsible and only release items in limited batches, everything sells out quickly. I recommend following them on Instagram or signing up for notifications on pieces you like.
Sezane
A list of the top five sustainable French fashion brands wouldn’t be complete without Sezane. They’re high on my list because they’re also socially conscious. They use feminine details like eyelet lace, but paired with chic floral & stripe patterns in a refined color palette. One issue I’ve had is that since I’m fairly petite (size 0/size 25 in the US), a lot of the waists and shoulders don’t fit me as well. But luckily, they also have a good return policy! Below are some of my recent favorites for spring 2021.

Corpus Christi
Corpus Christi is a really cool jewelry brand, with a shop on Rue des Martyrs in Paris. I happened upon their store last year before COVID, and every item was intricate and effortlessly cool. They make their pieces in Paris, sterling silver or gold plated, and add a little edge to any outfit. I get a lot of compliments on these earrings, which are dainty but bad ass, and I love the hoop version too. They have some pieces that are more feminine like these gorgeous earrings, and next on my list is this crown ring.
Les Récupérables
I recently discovered (& am currently obsessed with) this brand. Les Récupérables upcycles vintage linens and luxury materials from French manufacturers, creating eco-friendly limited edition pieces. Originally small secret collections in Paris boutiques, the brand now has a store of their own near Sacré-Coeur. My three favorite styles are their collared shirts, wrap tops, and krabe pants.

Emile & Ida
I discovered this brand accidentally, when I came across this denim jumpsuit on a retailer site. I’ve never quite found the right casual overalls, and this pair is super comfortable but adds a French flair with a ruffle. They make their items responsibly in Portugal and are also socially conscious. They’re mainly a children’s line (adorable items) but also have some casual tops and skirts for women. And that denim jumpsuit is available in a darker color too!
